We ask you to make yourself available for all sessions to enable connection and continuity.
The program is online via zoom. It is free of charge.
Session one explores the concept of understanding where your young person is at and where you are at. We will do this by using interactive technology and shine the light on our personalities, emotions, environment, personal history and more.
Session two takes common and confronting challenges faced by young people, and introduces strategies to identify and understand underlying causes and resulting behaviours.
Session three unpacks the stages of change of behaviour and how we can recognise where we are at and where our young people are on the model of change. We will discuss how we can support our young people to promote positive changes and to plan ahead to support the road to change.
Session four creates an awareness of the benefits of acceptance of situations to enable enhanced decision making and improved long-term outcomes. We talk self regulation and how simple strategies can transform a situation.
Session five uses our combined knowledge to examine strategies and goals for a bright and connected future. The session will empower us to feel more confident in our decision making and provide strategies for responding proactively and thoughtfully in emotional situations. To finish we will add some quick and easy self regulation techniques to keep us emotionally and physically regulated.
