for up to 24 parents
ABOUT EPIC DELIVERY OF YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID:
WHAT: The Youth Mental Health First Aid(YMHFA) course teaches up to 24 participants how to provide initial support to a young person (aged 12–18) who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, until professional help is received, or the crisis resolves.
WHERE: A location accessible to parents and carers of young people
WHEN: Blended Face-to-Face: self-paced eLearning (5-7 hours), followed by a one day (7 hours) face-to-face session, will be provided at a time suitable for parents, usually a full day Sunday.
COST: The cost to provide each YMHFA in the blended format to parents and carers of young people is $5,000. This price includes Mental Health First Aid Australia eLearning access, YMHFA text book, 2 accredited instructors, EPIC support staff, venue hire, catering, course administration and participant YMHFA accreditation.
